Learning Mode (Lernmodus)

Learning mode turns the chat into a tutor: instead of handing you the finished solution, the AI guides you towards it with questions, hints and small steps.

What Learning Mode Does

Normal chats are optimized to deliver an answer quickly. Learning mode is different: it is designed for actually understanding a topic. The AI deliberately does not give away the solution. Instead it asks guiding questions, points to the relevant concept, names the next small step or gives a hint – and lets you do the work.

Tip Learning mode is ideal for exercises, exam preparation, programming problems and anything where you want to get there yourself instead of just copying an answer.

The Learning Mode Tab

Learning mode has its own entry in the sidebar, directly below Workflows. It uses the exact same chat view as the normal chat – same message bubbles, markdown, code blocks, charts, tool calls and documents. Only the behavior of the AI differs.

The Tutor Rules

In every learning session the AI follows these rules:

Periodic Reminder

So the AI does not drift back into "answer mode" during a long session, the system regularly re-anchors the tutor behavior with a short reminder in the conversation. When the reminder fires, you see a small [System] note in the chat.

You can configure this under Settings → System & Prompts → Learning Mode:

Documents & Materials

Learning mode is built for working with your own material. Attach PDFs and text files through the "+" menu → Documents. This also works in normal chats – see Chat Features → Documents.
